Pregnant Worker Risk Assessment

Before assigning work to any pregnant or lactating worker, the employer must assess the nature and degree of any hazard present at the place of work. The employer is obliged to protect the health and safety of the pregnant worker, the unborn child or the breastfeeding baby. A specific risk assessment should cover the various stages of the pregnancy and the postnatal period.

Young Person Risk Assessment

Before employing a person under 18 years of age, an employer must carry out a risk assessment for all occupational health and safety hazards at the place of work. A specific risk assessment needs to take into consideration the inexperience and lack of maturity of young workers besides the usual physical hazards of the working environment.

COVID-19 Risk Assessment

As per the Occupational Health and Safety Authority Act (ACT XXVII of 2000), an employer needs to ensure at all times the health and safety of all persons who may be affected by the work being carried out for such an employer. Therefore, an employer must take all the necessary mitigation measures at the workplace to reduce the spread of COVID-19. At CMRC, we provide such a service by considering the nature of the work and the workplace itself, identifying how employees might be exposed to risks contracting the virus and then providing you with proposed control measures.  The employer then should liaise with all employees, informing them of all new policies and procedures taken to control the spread of the virus.
